Waking Up To Autism - Logo Design & Branding

In partnership with

Phase 1

The Brief, Research & Concept

Claire at Waking Up To Autism approached us looking for an identity for her new business. She always maintained that she wanted to create a working relationship and wasn't looking for a "quick fix".

Our first task was to discover what drove Claire and how we could leverage that into a logo and brand identity to future proof her new business journey. We found it clear that Claire was a very caring mother to her two children who both have Autism, which meant everything she did has purpose, meaning and heart. Her mission was to improve the awareness of Autism in both the work place and in schools. Promoting its acceptance and reducing its stigma.

Phase 2

Strategy & Production

With that in mind we wanted to focus on the 'Waking up' aspect and went with the symbol of an eye to represent people opening their eyes to what Autism is and most importantly, what it isn't.

We also explored other ideas such as hearts in hands and more abstract symbolism as a silhouette of a person in an 'A' shape.

Phase 3

Outcome & Delivery

Overall the logo was a big success and has been very well received in the community. It stands as strong brand to represent a strong message and business leader.

Off the back of this project we created an animated version of the logo to be used in video content and live streams that Claire conducts on a regular basis.

Pixel Jam “got it” – They engaged with who we are, what is important to us, what our mission is – but they didn’t just engage, they jumped firmly on board!
