This concept was born from an idea that our Creative Director Glenn had during an evening meal at TGI Fridays with his family. It came when a neighbouring table had trouble getting their little ones to decide what they wanted for their food.
We wanted to create an app experience that could be used in a restaurant setting or at home when ordering a takeaway. We picked Dominos as this concept was created in the peak of Covid-19 which meant restaurants were closed at the time.

We wanted to create an app experience that could be used in a restaurant setting or at home when ordering a takeaway. We picked Dominos as this concept was created in the peak of Covid-19 which meant restaurants were closed at the time.
The plan was to make an app that kids would find entertaining an easy to use. To help appeal to the younger audience we created a robot character that would be the onscreen guide for the app. We called this character DomBot or 'Dom' for short.
Dom would interact with the users through animations and voice prompts to encourage healthier choices. The user can then drag and drop ingredients from the bowls and place them on the pizza in any way they wish.
Once the order has been placed and sent to the closest Dominos store, the staff would do their best to replicate the pizza that was created.
Overall we were really happy with how this concept came out. We are fully aware that this wasn't going to be a "real world" product, but the processes we wen through and adhering to operating system guidelines really tested us in areas and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome.
